the haunting of hill house fucked me up so much… when everything made sense at the end and you realise how intertwined everything is, especially how it portrays time as a non linear concept. it’s not even a “horror show”, it’s in the horror genre, sure, but it’s more about trauma and fear and connection and family and death and loss and the human condition. i genuinely didn’t expect to get so sucked into this show and love it so much, but it feels unique whilst simultaneously feeling familiar and i think that’s what makes it special.

Honestly I’m still bitter because Nell deserved better. All the Crain’s did. But Nell. That sweet little snowflake. I will never be over Nell and Arthur and I will never be over the bent neck lady. How did a horror show break my heart into tiny pieces and sprinkle it around like confetti?
